The AGYO now on Instagram!
Just in time for the first door of the Advent calendar on December, 1st, the German-African Youth Office (AGYO) also opened its own doors into the social media world with its new Instagram channel, africangermanexchange_dajw.
The main focus of the channel is to promote opportunities for young experts to volunteer in an African country with Team works!
Following on from the launch of the AGYO website in the middle of 2021, the Instagram channel adds another element to our online presence. The idea behind the Instagram account is to raise our profile and engage and communicate directly with users online.
Our eye-catching posts will provide bite-size chunks of information about the AGYO and its projects, with the main target group being young experts, especially in Germany. The aim is to address this group directly and post testimonials by former programme participants designed to get readers interested in finding out more about Team works! and, ideally, visiting our website to register for an assignment. The content will consistently highlight the opportunities that open up to young, non-academic experts when they spend several weeks volunteering in a suitable enterprise in an African country.
We’re also planning content series on Team works! assignments and participants’ experiences on Teams up! projects. Plus, we’ll be exploring the 17 SDGs as well as featuring potential places for assignments in Africa and Germany. And there’ll be plenty of surprises along the way!
We invite everyone to follow our channel and interact with us, via likes, comments or questions in the feed or using the message function.
